A bit about me.

Design, not rocket science.

My philosophy is simple: design doesn’t have to be rocket science.

Graphic and web designer, mum of two, wife & self-appointed font and grammar Police. Fuelled by cake, shoes & handbags. Theo Paphitis Twitter #SBS (Small Business Sunday) Winner 25/01/11. Stationery addict with an unhealthy obsession for washi tapes and paper. Deadly serious about design and the correct use of their, there, and they’re. So there.

The aim is to take the mystery out of the whole design process, in an efficient, practical yet creative approach. Design can be done anywhere, on a train, on a plane or on a beach (wishful thinking). The majority of the work is done off-site with continuous contact with clients via email and telephone. Obviously, I also like to meet with clients face to face, especially important when trying to explain why one shade of red is different to another.

There are no call centres, sales people or smoke and mirrors here, what you see is what you get. I have been fortunate enough to work with clients who continue to use my services and are kind enough to recommend my services to others.

I take great pride in ensuring that the work meets with the high standards my clients now come to expect.

Some nice things people have said about me...

Tia designed my personal Web site, and I was very impressed with the results. Graphics is not my strength, so she came up with a variety of options that she thought I might like after assessing what would work best for my target audiences. The problem was that I liked all the options! I'm also not particularly comfortable using Web technologies, so it's enormously helpful that Tia provides step-by-step, methodical instructions when I need to make changes to the site. In short, I really enjoy working with Tia. She's both talented and patient -- a rare combination.

I've had the pleasure of working with Tia on projects she has designed, and at all times she's been creative, reliable and efficient. And she brought all of those talents to volunteering for Digital People in Peterborough. Her involvement totally transformed what had been a small, ad hoc and often forgotten gathering into a regular event with significant promotion, sponsorship and attendance. I regularly recommend Tia to any client seeking design work (Web or print), and always look forward to working with her.
